Wrapped bellows
Bellows are flexible protective elements whose areas of application are extremely diverse. Bellows reduce downtimes and repair costs, in many cases they make maintenance completely unnecessary.
AREAS OF OPERATION
- Small to medium-sized bellows with an aspect ratio of 1:6 to 1:10, depending on the depth of the folds.
- Protection against dust, scale, chips for cardan shafts, pistons and hydraulic systems
- Protection against sand, flying sparks, heat and material splashes on robots Moulding and casting machines
- Prevention of dust formation in vibratory conveying and packaging systems
- Ensuring the ability to move in aggressive or humid climates
- Reduction of noise in piping systems
- Protection of moving parts in industrial robots.
FINISHING
The production of a bellows is done by winding (prior gluing, in case of particularly heavy use with longitudinal seams). During winding, a moistened leather tube is pulled over a multi-part mould. The hose is brought into the mould by means of a cord. After drying, the moulded parts are removed piece by piece. To protect the bellows from moisture, a plastic coating is applied afterwards.
Versions
In special cases, a heat-resistant Kevlar can be used instead of leather. We have an extensive stock of moulds, which is constantly being expanded. In many cases, the right shape, whether cylindrical, conical, trapezoidal or a semicircular shape, is already available. Special shapes can be produced free of charge using special discs. Wrapped bellows are manufactured with a standard fold depth between 10 and 30 mm. To avoid increased wear and tear as well as sagging in horizontal use, supporting or sliding discs can be used.
