Bellows art

Normally, our bellows protect moving machine parts in favour of less wear and longer maintenance intervals. We have always thought that our bellows are also beautiful to look at.
However, we did not know that a bellows can also inspire as an object of art - until a few weeks ago.

We were commissioned to produce four bellows on a huge scale (210 x 120 x 300 cm).
As part of his work for Art Cologne 2018, the artist Johannes Wohnseifer created a work of art consisting of these four bellows. The four bellows can work individually or can be zipped together to form a 12-metre-long tunnel.
The bellows fabric was printed on the outside with a motif of various jackets and zips. The inside, on the other hand, is a bright orange colour.

This work of art was on display at this year's Art Cologne (19-22 April). Here we show you the final exhibit as well as further information on the artist and his work.
